The Toro Rosso team, which uses the name Alpha Tauri from the 2020 Formula 1 season, launched their new car wrapped in a two-color livery, dark blue and white in Salzburg, Austria.

The car, named AT01, uses a Honda power unit, such as its senior team, Red Bull, and will be driven by Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly.

AT01 will pave at the Misano Circuit, Italy for a non-playing test session on Saturday. Kvyat is the first racer to try out their new engine.





Alpha Tauri is a fashion brand owned by Red Bull. They will try to continue Toro Rosso's positive trend last year in which Kvyat and Gasly presented the podium for the team, in Germany and Brazil respectively.

It was the first time that Toro Rosso has won the podium more than once in a season so that he is entitled to finish in the ranks of six constructors, equaling their best streak achieved in 2008.

"A new name for the team, a new livery. Of course, technically, this team will continue the evolution of last year. I can say that last year the team showed a strong performance," said Kvyat as quoted by the official Formula 1 website.

"Of course the concern is my podium in Germany as well as some good races, so we want to continue like this for this year. There is hard work behind all this and we wish you a good year."

Gasly, who won the podium in Brazil, can't wait to appear with the team that has the new packaging.

"This team has incredible energy, everyone is very motivated and we need to get on the track right now."
