Nezuko Kamado is the younger sister of Tanjiro and one of the main characters in this series. While her family is being massacred by the devil, Nezuko is turned into a demon. This made her the only survivor of the massacre.

Even though she has been turned into a demon, that doesn't make her a criminal. Nezuko even still refuses to eat humans and prefers to sleep for a very long time to recover his strength.

Zenitsu is a very timid figure and always tries to avoid fights. Even so, Zenitsu will be very strong when he sleeps. This was proven when he used the Lightning Breathing technique to kill demons at a lightning-fast speed.

Although he is known to be very timid, Zenitsu will show extraordinary courage when he is protecting something. This is evidenced by the time he kept protecting the bamboo box containing Nezuko even though he had been beaten almost to death by Inosuke.
