Suzuki SX4 WRC Specs - At the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, Suzuki announced its participation in the prestigious rally event, the World Rally Championship (WRC). Of course, in this event the specifications used are different from the general SX4 circulating anywhere, although it still uses the J20 base used in the American and European versions of the SX4.

Suzuki SX4 for WRC uses All Wheel Drive (AWD) which is also sold in general and is equipped with a J20 engine with special rally tuning that is capable of producing a maximum power of 320 HP and a peak torque of 590 Nm. Please note, the standard J20 engine that is sold in general (in Indonesia using the M15A engine) is only capable of producing a maximum power of 127 HP at 6000 rpm engine speed and a peak torque of 182 Nm at 3000 rpm engine speed.

In 2007, the Suzuki SX4 was tested in two WRC events, namely Rallye de France in October and Rally GB in November. For the Rallye de France competition, the Suzuki SX4 took the 31st position, while in the Rally GB competition it was in the 27th position. Then in 2008, the Suzuki SX4 also took part in the Rallye Monte Carlo and finished 8th with Per-Gunnar Andersson behind the wheel.

In 2011, the Suzuki SX4 also competed in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb event with a more ferocious engine specification. The 3.1L Twin Turbocharged V6 engine is paired to the SX4 and is capable of pumping out a maximum power of up to 910 HP and a peak torque of 890 Nm. Nobuhiro Tajima as the driver broke the record with a time of 9:51,278 and won the competition for 6 years from 2006 to 2011. From 2009 to 2011 Nobuhiro Tajima drove a Suzuki SX4.
