The United States Coast Guard

The United States Coast Guard (USCG), otherwise known as The United States Coast Guard (USCG), is a branch of the US armed forces. This unit is one of the seven uniformed troops.

USCG has a multifunctional task, as a maritime force, military, carrying out various unique missions throughout the US in upholding maritime law. During peacetime, this team works under the auspices of the US Department of Defense and may be transferred under the US Department of Marine Affairs by the US president at any time.

Until now, this team has served in various countries, from World War I, World War II to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007. Although many are involved in the battlefield, this unit oversees the SAR which is named the US Coast Guard Search and Rescue.

This team is one of the best in the world, and is fully responsible for marine SAR duties, along with the US Air Force responsible for disaster rescue on land. Both of them are assigned to carry out rescues in military and civilian SAR.

It's not the US if you work without advanced equipment. 1,400 vessels can be maneuvered and have various functions during the rescue, ranging from rapid response vessels, medical vessels, to patrol boats.

Meanwhile, this team has 204 aircraft that can immediately serve if needed, including Lockheed HC-130H Hercules, Lockheed HC-130J Super Hercules, and CASA HC-144A Ocean Sentry. That does not include the number of helicopters still operating, there are two types in operation, namely the Sikorsky HH/MH-60 Jayhawk and the Aerospatiale MH-65 Dolphin.

Finally, these troops also operate thousands of sophisticated equipment that can be used during the rescue. Including modern weapons used to defend against unexpected attacks.
