Yoriichi has created the Sun Breathing Style, which is considered to be the first Breathing Style. Almost all other breathing styles come from this ability created by Yoriichi. Also known as Hinokami Kagura, this Sun Breathing Style is the only power used and passed down in the Kamado family.

The last known user to be able to use this power was Tanjiro who was taught to him by his father, Tanjuro Kamado. Knowing where the power came from, Yoriichi was able to perfect this technique and make this style the basis for other types of breathing styles.

4. Can Use the Thirteenth Form of Breathing

Yoriichi knows how to use a technique known as the thirteenth form. Each Demon Slayer has 12 forms based on their breathing style, but the thirteenth is the most difficult to master. This form uses the twelve techniques continuously in succession to increase one's speed and accuracy.

This thirteenth form is the only move that can defeat Muzan because it will attack all of his vital organs. Yoriichi was able to use it on Muzan the last time he fought him. With his fast movements and mastery of his sword, Yoriichi was able to perfect this technique.

Yoriichi has a twin brother named Michikatsu Tsugikuni. As someone younger, Yoriichi looked at his older brother with respect and swore that he would become the greatest swordsman like him.

However, tragedy befalls Michikatsu when he turns into a demon because of Muzan, and separates the brothers into sworn enemies. Michikatsu transforms into a demon named Kokushibo and becomes part of the Twelve Kizuki.
