The cotton-top tamarin is a species of small monkey originally found in the jungles of South America.

The name 'cotton hair' comes from the beautiful white fur found on the head to the shoulders.

The cotton-top tamarin is the smallest type of monkey because its size is only 17 cm with a tail of 25 cm.

Cotton Top Tamarin (Saguinus Oedipus) is native to South America and is widely distributed in Colombia.

They live in groups of usually 12 to 14 individuals and are open to other types of tamarins that enter their territory.

Unfortunately, the population of this little monkey is estimated at only about 6,000 individuals, most of which have become extinct due to deforestation.
