This is a continuation of the One Piece Luffy papercraft series designed by Hi. Although in chibi form, Luffy Gear 5th papercraft appearance looks cool.

In One Piece chapter 1044, Monkey D Luffy's gear mode 5th is finally shown. After getting form gear 4th during two years of training in Rusukaina, the main character of One Piece now gets gear 5th.

This ability is displayed by Luffy in the latest chapter of the manga One Piece 1044. Awakening his devil fruit makes Luffy's strength increase tremendously.

The appearance of Gear 5th belonging to the Mugiwara pirate captain certainly surprised his loyal fans. Here are some facts about Luffy's Gear 5th which the paper hOles summarizes from various sources.

1. Derived from Mythical Zoan, Hito Hito No Mi Model Nika

In One Piece 1044, it was revealed that Luffy's devil fruit is not the Gomu Gomu no Mi as we know it. However, the original name of this Mythical Zoan type of devil fruit is Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika.

This type of Zoan Fruit allows the eater to turn into a mystical creature. For Luffy, he can turn into the sun god Nika.

2. What are the side effects?
