Synopsis Uncle from Another World

The story in Uncle from Another World revolves around our two main characters, namely Takafumi Takaoka and Yousuke Shibazaki. They are nephews and uncles. Yousuke had a terrible accident that left him in a coma for 17 years. During that time, the Shibazaki family experienced many bad things. The trigger was a violent debate about whether to give up or wait for Yousuke to wake up from the coma.

One day Takaoka finds his uncle awake from a coma, but his uncle behaves strangely. His uncle also spoke a foreign language he did not understand. What makes Takafumi even more absurd is that his uncle said that for the past 17 years he had been adventuring in Granbahamal, a parallel world.

However, Takafumi's doubts are answered when the uncle shows his magic power. Since then, the journey of Takafumi's life begins to try to teach his uncle about the modern world and Yousuke who adapts to modern Japan.

1. Ojisan/Yousuke Shibazaki

Yousuke is one of the main characters in the series and is Takafumi's uncle. he is described as 34 years old and in a coma for 17 years. when he woke up from the coma, not only did Yousuke's appearance change, but the world had also developed much more.

From Yousuke's point of view, he was not in a coma but thrown into a parallel world called Granbahamal. Being in that world was nothing more than the original world. Because of his ugly face, people often misunderstood him and often treated him badly. however, Yousuke is very strong and he diligently trains alone so that his strength is growing every day.

Yousuke is a big fan of Sega. When he wakes up from a coma, he feels sad because Sega has been evicted by more sophisticated online game producers. Well, even though Yousuke returned to his original world, his magic power didn't disappear. He shows off his magic on the YouTube channel he manages with Takafumi.
 
2. Takafumi Takaoka

Takafumi is a man who has just turned 20 years old. After his uncle woke up from a coma, this bespectacled man invited his uncle to live with him. Takafumi invites his uncle to manage a YouTube channel that contains magical practices controlled by his uncle. That's how they make money.

Takafumi's life changes when his uncle arrives. His uncle's magic power helped many things in his life, especially to fulfill his needs. Takafumi and his uncle have a lot in common, especially when it comes to dealing with women. they are both lousy and insensitive.

3. Sumika Fujiyama

Sumika Fujiyama is Takafumi's childhood friend. It seems that after being separated for a long time, each of them has feelings for Takafumi. Since then, Sumika often visited her house and spent time together.

Sumika was another person who knew about Uncle Yousuke's power. At first, he did not like the existence of Uncle Yousuke because he was considered a parasite. However, over time he liked the time together at Yousuke's house with his uncle. Moreover, he still hopes for Takafumi to reciprocate his feelings.

4. Tsundere Elf

This beautiful elf-shaped character was saved by Yousuke in the past. Unexpectedly, their first meeting made him fall in love. Since then, this Tsundere Elf has been following Yousuke everywhere. However, he never openly shows his feelings. Instead of being nice to Yousuke, he often took offense at him and called him Orc Face. However, he was never willing to let other people harass Yousuke.
