Ichigo Kurosaki Papercraft

Together with Naruto and One Piece, Bleach is one of the biggest and most popular shonen anime which is often called the Big Three. Just like Naruto and One Piece, Bleach still has a lot of fans to this day, this happens because the fans like the protagonist named Ichigo Kurosaki. But even Ichigo's biggest fans probably don't know all the trivia and little details there is to learn about him.

A cool detail that fans may not know about is that Tite Kubo gifted Ichigo a theme song called News From The Front by Los Angeles-based punk rock band Bad Religion, United States. Also, according to Kubo, his giant Zanpakutō sword doesn't feel heavy at all because it comes from within him - but if someone else were to try to lift it, they would have a hard time. Intrigued by the character Ichigo Kurosaki who is the protagonist of this cool Bleach anime? Let's follow the discussion about Ichigo Kurosaki below!

1. He Has Reiatsu With Different Colors In The Anime And The Manga

Ichigo Kurosaki's Reiatsu in the Bleach manga is shown in golden yellow. In the Bleach anime, for some reason, the creators of the anime decided to change Ichigo's Reiatsu to blue. This is one of those changes that fans are wondering why since it doesn't affect the story in any way, so why not just keep Ichigo's Reiatsu color the golden yellow it is in the manga?

Maybe because blue is a more attractive color than gold. After all, the change is a choice the creators make, and Bleach is one of the few anime to do so for no particular reason.

2. Ichigo's Xcution Registration Number is 007

Even though the Fullbringer arc left a lot of interesting things that its fans wanted. This arc feels like a filler arc that is more exciting than the manga because it provides interesting information. It is said there that the xcution Ichigo Kurosaki's registration number is 007, which naturally gives a reference to James Bond, the super-friendly British super-spy who has a penchant for saving the world and loves hanging out with any woman he sees.

While Ichigo is not as lucky as James Bond when it comes to meeting women, he must have also saved the world on more than a few occasions, namely against Aizen and Yhwach. This number 007 is a nice little reference to Ichigo's James Bond analogy.

3. Ichigo's Bankai Ability, which was never actually shown in the anime

There was a teaser in the form of Ichigo Kurosaki's fight with Yhwach, but the Quincy-infused Soul King made sure to destroy it as quickly as possible. All we see in that fight is a more powerful version of Getsuga Tenshō, and it's coated in gold from his Reiatsu.

The attack is strong enough to cut Yhwach in half and could have ended his fight were it not for the power of The Almighty. It's still an odd thing that this is the end of the series, but Kubo has yet to show Ichigo's true Bankai abilities in the anime Bleach.

4. His Shinigami badge was damaged in his fight with Ulquiorra

Ichigo Kurosaki's battle with Ulquiorra is one of the best parts of the Bleach series and has top-level transformation scenes. The transformation is some kind of power-up that just pops out of nowhere, but when something looks this cool, not a single Bleach fan is going to complain.

An interesting aspect is that once he assumes his new hole form his badge breaks, as shown in some of his chapter sketches. This is quite exciting good news, as it shows that Ichigo's shinigami side is no longer in control.

5. He Has Inhuman Endurance

Given that Ichigo Kurosaki is an amalgam of everything in the Bleach universe, it's no surprise that he's a bit stronger than most of the other characters. He is still capable of dealing with multiple attacks and in a different way than most other Shōnen genre anime protagonists.

While he takes his fair share of damage in fights, there are many moments where he jumps into action in anticipation of it. He survived Quilge's Heilig Pfeil attack unscathed and managed to deal with Ginjo's Getsuga Tenshō with minimal damage to his arm.

6. He is quite proficient in Shunpo Technique

There's a reason why Ichigo Kurosaki was labeled as having special war potential, and it's not just because of his mixed bloodline or even because he became skilled in Shunpo. It happened because he took things at a breakneck speed, with Shunpo being one of his aspects.

Even Byakuya, who is proficient in this technique, always compliments Ichigo's skills. The skill continues to improve, and by the time of the Millennium War, Ichigo was able to travel miles in a single bound, surpassing even the Sternritters' perception.

7. His Personality Has Never Changed

When we think of protagonists in Shonen genre anime, the protagonists at the beginning of the anime are never the same as their characters at the end of the anime. Naruto is a classic example of the annoying bad boy becoming one of the more respected characters in the series.

Ichigo doesn't go through much personality development, only gaining powers as the Bleach series progresses. Some of his traits have diminished, such as his short-tempered nature, but he is a character who has the same personality from start to finish.

8. He Hates Everything Relating to the Paranormal and Divination

For Ichigo Kurosaki, that stuff related to the paranormal and divination is a means to prey on those who seek comfort for him. For him, no one should be involved in a trade that sells things that people can't see.

It shows how down-to-earth he is and how protective he is of others, even people he doesn't know. He didn't want to see anyone being taken advantage of, especially people who were grieving. It's a powerful stance to have for the protagonist and shows why he has the respect he carries in every battle.

9. He needed protection from Tatsuki when he was a child

It's hard to imagine that Ichigo Kurosaki would need help from anyone given how much he acts as a loner in his various battles. He didn't want to see anyone else get hurt, willing to shoulder all the brunt of the battle himself to make sure others weren't burdened too.

When Ichigo was very young, Tatsuki was the one who watched over him, making sure others didn't choose him and helping him in the karate class they both attended. It is an interesting role reversal and sadly not sufficiently explored, as is the case with most of the human character storylines in Bleach.

10. Many People Think He's Crazy Because He Can See Spirits

Ichigo Kurosaki was able to see Plus or spirits at a very young age, and while he was very young, his mind was not developed enough to know he was seeing a ghost. Ichigo thought he was looking at ordinary people, having conversations within themselves in the most remote places.

It makes most of the other kids think Ichigo is crazy, thinking he sees and talks about real things that aren't there. This caused him to become like an outcast who had no friends.
