Articuno is a dual-type Ice/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is a legendary Pokémon, known as one of the "birds" that make up the Kanto region's Legendary Trio, alongside Zapdos and Moltres. Articuno is a large, avian Pokémon with predominantly blue plumage. Its head and chest are adorned with bright red feathers, and it has long, thin wings with white tips. It has a sharp, hooked beak and black eyes with white pupils. Articuno is known for its ability to control ice, and it is said that when it flaps its wings, it can create blizzards. In addition to its ice powers, Articuno is also a capable flyer and is said to be able to fly nonstop, even in the harshest of storms. Articuno is a very rare and elusive Pokémon, and it is said that it appears only to those who are pure of heart and have a strong desire to help others.
