Meet Traffy: The Traffic Light Who Found Freedom (and a Jump Shot)

Traffy, he used to be a traffic light

Let me tell you a story about someone who used to be stuck—literally. Meet Traffy, a traffic light from one of the busiest intersections in Bandung. Day in and day out, he stood tall on a pole, blinking red, yellow, green… red, yellow, green… controlling the chaos of honking cars and impatient drivers.

Sounds glamorous? Not really.
While the rest of the world buzzed by, Traffy was frozen in place. Same view. Same routine. Every. Single. Day. He was basically the ultimate symbol of routine overdrive. But Traffy had a little spark inside him—an itch for more.

One Day, Traffy Snapped…

No, not in a villainous kind of way. He just had enough. He powered down his lights, slipped off his pole, and hit the streets of Bandung. With a beat in his heart and hip-hop in his ears, Traffy roamed the city he had only ever seen from one spot. He passed by noodle carts, danced under neon signs, and even tried breakdancing in front of a mural. The guy had moves.

But then, a thought hit him—
“Wait… did I just abandon my job? What if the intersection is a mess without me?”

Guilt tugged at his circuits. So, with a heavy heart (and maybe a little fear of a traffic disaster), he shuffled back to the intersection.

Surprise of a Lifetime

But when he looked up… Traffy couldn’t believe his lens. There, mounted proudly on the pole, was a brand-new traffic light. Sleek, shiny, and already blinking away like a pro.

And even better, there was a giant banner waving in the breeze:

“Hey Traffy! You’re free now, go have fun!
We, the city folks, are super grateful to you!”

Boom! Mind. Blown.
The people of Bandung had his back. They appreciated all the years he’d given. Traffy wasn’t just a traffic light—he was a local legend.

Living His Best Life

Since that day, Traffy’s been living life on his own terms.
He’s been spotted shooting hoops at the local court, vibing to music at street festivals, and even snapping selfies with tourists.

No more green-red-yellow cycle. Just fun, freedom, and a whole lot of city love.
