Fate / Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Chibi Papercraft Model by Pepasweet

As if answering Ilya's fan (lolicon) chaos in the main game Fate/stay Night because there is no Ilya route, TYPE-MOON answered with the Official Spin-off "Prisma Ilya". And it's not enough with 2 manga sequels in "Zwei" and "Drei", the anime finally aired. According to haraFap?

Conspiracy! After the manga reached its second sequel in “Drei”, the anime aired, and it even looks like TYPE-MOON seriously wants to animate the entire Prisma Ilya manga even after they announced to adapt Stay Night's final route, Heaven's Feel, as soon as it finishes broadcasting the latest Kara no Kyoukai.

I'm not complaining, after all, even though it's a spin-off, Prisma Ilya is still a good series, despite the fact that it's a spin-off. This series can still be enjoyed even if you don't understand Nasuverse (TYPE-MOON universe) although I BELIEVE the majority are coming for DELISHUS SMEXY LOLI.

But what's so good about just LOLI? The JOI study found that;

THE GOOD – THE LOLIS

Welp, Ilya is funny, but because in Fate he always appears beside (or above) the BIG, BLACK, and HARD Berserker, I feel scared of Ilya, not to mention her neatly covered clothes. What was there was not wanting to push him into bed, but how to take him and raise him in the happy environment of the Cemara Family.

In Prisma Illya, things seem to be improved, school uniforms are similar to Shiro and Rin's high school, personality that is really Imoto Material, sweet version of Brocon (not the tragic version like in Fate). Plus the atmosphere and costumes of Mahou Shoujo which (VERY) supports fanservice. I can only be grateful that the anime aired before No Fap October came.

THE GOOD – DEM Magic Circles

Considering that the studio is also working on another series (which seems to be getting more duid injections) namely Watamote, I feel like I can tolerate the design and animation that looks "rough" compared to the manga. But I especially felt betrayed during the first battle with Rider who was not at all “cool” after being treated to 2 other Fate series which were really cool Fate/Zero and Fate Unlimited Blade Works. Yes I know the studios are different and there are many other aspects that make this not worth comparing but at least yeah…

But soon after that my disappointment was cured when I saw DEM MAGIC CIRCLES during the battle with Caster, animated nicely and well! The battle looks intense and quite representative of the action depicted in the manga.

The same is true in other epic battles. My disappointment was cured! Especially when Ilya transformed into Archerko and EMIYA was played. Oh Gawd Please~~~~!

My ovaries will explode by the sheer awesomeness of Archerko

THE MIXED – THE LOLIS

I love the sexy loli in Prisma Illya, but please, I'm not a real lolicon. That's why I feel loli is too sold here. Okay, maybe this is a loli story filled with loli lollipops, but it looks like the Saber costume is too pushy.

Some of the fanservice is out of place and it breaks my heart a little, who doesn't want to go to jail yet. Maybe someone enjoyed it but definitely not me.

THE BAD – A “Clashing” Character Design

The short pause after Fate/Zero forced me to compare her character with Prisma Ilya, and to be honest, Prisma Ilya, who was too childish, felt uncomfortable to watch. For season 1 which is still "fuwa-fuwa" it might not be a problem, but considering that season 2 has been announced and the story will only get "dark" after this, I think this is one thing that should be improved in the future.

Finally, Prisma Ilya is a promising adaptation because of his loyalty to the manga series. But there are many aspects that feel "lack of funding" and adjustments from other manga vs Fate make this series inseparable from the label "just another above average adaptation" for me :/
