Similar to our previous attack guide for Druddigon, Holiday Glaceon is pretty easy to strategize based on the fact that it only has one type, Ice.

Due to being an Ice-type, Holiday Glaceon is very weak against Fire, Steel, Fighting, and Stone type moves, which gives you a good choice of types. Plus, it's resistant to Ice-type moves, so you'll want to avoid it.

How to Beat Holiday Glaceon – Best Raid Guide and Counters

Holiday Glaceon will be found in tier 3 raids during all Pokemon Go 2021 Winter Vacation events lasting more than two weeks.

As a tier 3 attack, Holiday Glaceon shouldn't give you too much trouble as long as you're prepared. You really should be able to beat Holiday Glaceon alone. However, having extra help is not a bad thing to get more balls to throw at the end of the attack.

For the counters used against Holiday Glaceon, we're going to ditch some good Pokemon picks and possible moves to use. We'll stick to the standard form of this Pokemon, but anything with a Mega form or you have a solid Shadow version will always be preferable too.

Your top tier choice here will of course be Charizard with Fire Spin and Blast Burn, but you can also receive Chandelure with Fire Spin and Overheat for pure Fire-type moves.

You can also combine Pokemon like Magmortar with Karate Chop as a quick move and Fire Blast as an attack or Reshiram with Fire Fang as a quick move and Stone Edge as an attack too.

Steel types can also be very effective, with Metagross being the top option with Bullet Punch and Flash Cannon leading the way. You can also use Lucario with Bullet Punch, while Aura Sphere is a Fighting-type charged attack.

You can also combine other Fighting-types such as Machamp with Counter and Close Combat or various other standard types of Fire with tight Fire Movement which will also be very effective.

By selecting a few Pokemon like these, you should have less trouble and have a chance to catch Holiday Glaceon, which will be available in Shiny Forms as well during this event in Pokemon GO.
