Besides, what else, huh? Come on, see the following summary.

Citing Live Science, pumpkin is thought to be the oldest plant on earth. This is evidenced by a professor from Saint Louis University in Missouri.

Still in the same study, one pumpkin (weighing 196 grams); contains 31 calories, 2 grams of protein, 7 grams of carbohydrates, up to 2 grams of fiber.
5. Inspired by horror fairy tales
Launching Time, the pumpkin carved into the shape of a scary face was inspired by a horror fairy tale in Ireland. It is said that in the 1500s, there was a farmer named Jack who one day trapped the devil to enrich himself.
The farmer who later became known as 'Stingy' Jack promised to release the demon on the condition that he would not be thrown into hell when he died.
At his death, God did not allow Jack to enter heaven because of his many sins. However, the farmer also can't go to hell because the devil doesn't want to break his promise.
Finally, Jack was thrown back to earth and only provided with a fire torch and a turnip. Since then, the Jack-o-lantern has become a legend and is often identified with the evil spirit that often haunts Halloween night.
6. There was once a giant pumpkin weighing 921.7 kilograms
The yellow squash that we usually find in the supermarket weighs the weight of a bowling ball. But in 2013, a Californian man broke a world record for owning a 2,032 pound (921.7 kilograms) pumpkin, wow!
7. Predicted to be the biggest food waste in the UK
Citing The Guardian, Britons are expected to contribute the most pumpkin trash on Halloween.
There will be around 18,000 tons of carved pumpkin waste. 60 percent of consumers admit that they will only use them as decorations on Halloween and will not process them again.
