The Antonov An-225 Mriya is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft that was designed and built by the Ukrainian Antonov Design Bureau in the 1980s. It is the longest and heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tons and a length of 275 feet. It has a wingspan of 290 feet and is powered by six turbofan engines, which give it a top speed of about 550 mph.

The An-225 was originally designed to transport the Soviet space shuttle, the Buran, but it has also been used for a variety of other purposes, including transporting oversized cargo such as generators, transformers, and other large industrial equipment. It has a payload capacity of up to 250 tons, and its cargo hold is the largest in the world, measuring 43 feet wide, 14 feet high, and over 250 feet long.

The An-225 made its first flight in 1988 and has since become a symbol of Ukrainian engineering and technical innovation. It has been used for various military and civilian purposes around the world, and has set numerous records for the heaviest payloads ever carried by an aircraft. Despite its impressive size and capabilities, the An-225 has a relatively small production run, with only one aircraft having been built to date.
