Fuecoco is a crocodilian biped with a mostly red body and a white stomach and face. Its body contains a small flame sac that, due to its small size, constantly leaks fire energy. The energy manifests itself as two yellow tufts on top of Fuecoco's head; if Fuecoco becomes excited, more tufts of flame may emerge. Fuecoco has black eyes, triangular nostrils, and three teeth in its mouth, one in the upper jaw and two in the lower jaw.

It has stubby arms and large feet, each with two black toes. Fuecoco's stomach, back, tail, and foot soles are covered in yellow square scales. Although these scales are warm to the touch, they can become heated. The scales absorb external heat, such as that emitted by the warm rocks on which it rests, and convert it to fire energy.

Fuecoco is unhurried and moves at its own pace. It likes to eat and will rush towards any food it sees.
