Free Sturmpanzerwagen A7V German Heavy Tank Paper Model
The Sturmpanzerwagen A7V was the first German tank and the only German tank that participated in World War I.
The A7V was introduced by Germany in 1918. One hundred chassis were ordered built by early 1917, but only 10 were completed as tanks (armored vehicles), and the remainder as Berlandwagen Cargo carriers. The number that will be used as tanks/armored vehicles is then increased to 20 units. They were used from March to October 1918 and we're the only tanks produced by Germany in World War I for use in combat.
The only surviving A7V (Mephisto) tank is on display at the Australian War Memorial.
